Homeland Photos of Slovakia

The small village of Olsavica, where John LaPatka was born in 1873. John probably spent many a day in the ancient Church of St. Mikulas (Nicolas), which was constructed back in 1325.

Mary was born in 1882 in the picturesque village of Nizne Repase, which is known for is old wooden houses and scenic views. Nizne Repase and Olsavica are both situated along the Torsky River and are located just a few miles from each other.
