Petty Officer Sean Zach Polish headed up the NCIS HQs Softball team for the 2009 NDW league, with games at Bolling AFB and NAVSTA Anacostia from May-August. We played in the CO-ED league and we were pretty middle-of-the-pack in the standings. I injured my back and was unable to play (but I coached) in the playoffs. We ended up losing our first playoff game by a score of 12-2 and it was ugly. Oh well, there is always next season! Despite not having a very competitive team it was a great time. We usually ended up drinking beer and goofing off after each game or heading down to the Slip Inn. This will be Polish's last season though as he will be off to the Virginia Beach area for his next command.
