Following on the heels of the 2009 Halloween Party - and the fact that the traditional in-the-house Bales Holiday Party is on hiatus - we decided to host a Holiday Party in the pavilion on Saturday December 12, 2009. I completely enclosed the pavilion in tarps and had several heaters in operation. It was a little cold, about 35 degrees that night, but it was very tolerable in the pavilion. I also had a huge fire burning as well. We had a good crowd of about 50-60 people and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable parties we have ever had. At one point there were so many people dancing the whole pavilion was shaking. Congrats to John Rokos and Tony Fountain, who took home the Heineken mini-kegs as the Beer Pong champions. Who knows, this holiday event may become a tradition as well.
